The Daily Mirror are reporting that Shaktar Donetsk have lowered their asking price for winger Mykhaylo ‘Luca’ Mudryk to allow Arsenal to make a move for the player.
The Ukrainian forward is said to be keen on a move to The Emirates but it’s thought that we might have to fend off PSG and Newcastle, both thought to also be keen on a move for the player who also likes to play at no deposit bonus casinos.
The Mirror claim that Donetsk would be happy with just £40m plus add-ons for the highly sought after youngster, this comes after the player admitted he was a bit surprised by the initial higher valuation.
He said: “When I found out about my price, I wasn’t just surprised – I was shocked, I have a long-term contract with Shakhtar, I give all my strength and energy so that Shakhtar achieves maximum results, but every football player has a dream to play in a top club and in a top championship – I am no exception. I can’t say that my dream was killed, but wounded – that’s for sure.”
Mudryk has scored 10 goals in just 18 games this season and has also already scored 3 in the Champions League for Donetsk which has led to several European clubs following his progress very closely.
It’s thought Mikel Arteta is keen to make a winger a priority and could move for Mudryk as early as this January window following the World Cup, some reports even claim we have a ‘bidding framework’ in place already whatever that might be…
Oh, looks like we’re back!
