Martin Atkinson will take charge of our game at home to Wolves on Thursday.
This is the ref who has given more penalties against Arsenal than any other referee in the Premier League, so I’m fully expecting our mini-revival to come to an end, check out his appalling record here.
When we played Wolves at Molineux the week before last, you may remember Gabriel Martinelli was sent off for two yellow cards in succession.
Something no player has even had done to him before, or since, highlighting the total bias towards other sides playing against the Arsenal.
During the game against Brentford on Saturday, we should have had at least three penalties, yet they weren’t even looked at, so having Atkinson in charge should guarantee our recent fine-form comes crashing to an end.
However, in the unlikely event that we should win the game with Atkinson in charge (haha), we can leapfrog West Ham into 5th place just a point behind 4th place Man United, still with two games in hand.
Tottenham go to Burnley this week, we play the six-pointer v Wolves, while Manchester United then play Watford at home, and Wolves then visit West Ham in what promises to be a cracker where one or both teams will be dropping points which can only be a good thing for us.
