Another tense cup final at The Emirates today as goals from Emile Smith-Rowe and Bukayo Saka saw our new found form continue.
Unlike the week before, where everyone slipped up except us, this week, everyone, bar West Ham, also won, making our game just that little bit more significant.
West Ham drew with Newcastle, Man City lost, United won, Wolves won so all three points was a must, and that’s exactly what we ended up with, thank the Lord.
We (once again) had several very valid penalties turned down by the ref, and also not even looked at by VAR, but luckily the two solo goals we did score were impossible to rule out.
However, the ref/VAR did manage to stitch up Fantasy Football players everywhere by allowing Brentford a late consolation goal with the last kick off the game despite calls for offside.
One worry was the fact that Tomiyasu STILL didn’t feature despite getting 90 articles written about him last week, though in fairness Cedric did very well at right-back again.
The win takes us back up to sixth for now, and another home game this coming Thursday is yet another must-win Cup Final, Wolves proving a very tricky opponent last week, but we did come away with all three points, so more of the same, please.
Hopefully, Mikel Arteta will have everyone to choose from as Tomiyasu is surely fixed, and Gabriel Martinelli returns from his frankly made-up and ridiculous double yellow card, red card ban picked up against Wolves last week.
