Mikel Arteta has revealed that Takehiro Tomiyasu has made progress and is in contention for a place in the team against Brentford tomorrow at The Emirates.
Tomiyasu missed the Burnley and Wolves games with a calf injury, but Arteta has confirmed in today’s press conference that the Japanese International will play a part in tomorrow’s game:
“The doubt was Tomiyasu which has not been perfect but he’s trained the last few days so he’s in contention and we can use him. That’s really positive. The rest of the players are ok…”
He also confirmed that Bernd Leno has recovered from Covid and will be on the bench for the clash.
