According to the Ornacle, David Orny Ornstein, we rejected the chance of an Aubameyang swap deal with PSG forward Mauro Icardi.
Icardi has been linked many times with a move to The Emirates, but it sounds like Arteta knows who he wants to bring in, and the Argentine just isn’t on his shopping list so the deal was dismissed out of hand.
Aubameyang ended up with a dream move to Barcelona on a free transfer, with no one joining Arsenal during the January window which was less than ideal.
