A new date has been announced for our home game against Wolves. The original game from the 28th of December was postponed after Wolves announced they didn’t have enough players to fulfil the fixture, as was perfectly acceptable under the rules set by the Premier League at the time. Despite us being on a cracking run, with players fit and hungry, we accepted the postponement with good grace and kindness, and wished the club well.
You may remember last season, Wolves were a bit of a bogey side, beating us 2-1 (Pepe) away and 2-1 at home (Gabriel), both behind COVID closed doors. So fingers crossed our new streamlined, smooth like a dolphin style, razor-thin squad can get one (or two) over the Traore-less boys from the Black Country this time around.
The rearranged game will now be played on the 24th of February under the lights at The Emirates Stadium and will be live on as many dodgy streams as you can find, or Amazon Prime. We also play Wolves away next Thursday meaning we have a Brentford sandwich, the South London club at home on the 19th of Feb, squashed between two Thursday night Wolves games.
Our next four games:
24/02 19:45 Wolves A – BT Sport
19/02 15:00 Brentford H – Not on TV
24/02 19:45 Wolves H – Amazon Prime
06/03 14:00 Watford A – Sky Sports
We are still waiting for some huge games to be rescheduled, Chelsea away, Liverpool at home, and Tottenham away, to name but two.
