It’s thought that Eddie Nketiah will be going nowhere this window as Arteta and crew are quickly running out of time to get a new striker in.

There are rumours circulating that Crystal Palace had bids turned down yesterday and Newcastle have also missed out on the player. Sky Sports report the Palace failed with a bid yesterday.

Nketiah’s contract us up on July the 1st, and Arsenal could still cash in before the end of tomorrow on the player who has so far refused an extension to his current deal.

Bayer Leverkusen in Germany are also said to be keen on the striker but without any new blood arriving tomorrow, Nketiah will definitely be staying at the Emirates, leaving us with very limited (and very impotent) strike resources.

Nketiah has not started a Premier League game this season but was a bit of a League Cup star, scoring five goals which saw us into the semi-finals but couldn’t find the target in, or with, either leg.

There are still rumours afoot that Aubameyang will be leaving in the next 24 hours, with Barcelona the favourites to land him.

It also looks like the rumours about Isak coming to Arsenal could have some legs, the player having been allegedly seen in London yesterday. Arsenal Twitter even spotting a car and number plate registered in London in the players name.

Either way, we’d hope for a busy couple of days in the transfer market, yet would also not be surprised that we end the rest of the season with Nketiah and Lacazette as our only attacking options.
