Arsenal have sold Joe Willock to Newcastle for a fee of what is thought to be around £23m. Willock enjoyed a successful loan spell last season with Newcastle scoring 8 goals in 14 games and has now joined them permanently. Surely his best moment last season would be this goal against Tottenh*m?
The 21-year-old said:
“I’m buzzing to be here, I loved my time here last season and I’m really happy to be back and to be a Newcastle United player. Leaving Arsenal is obviously a big step, and I’d like to thank everyone involved with the club for all their support over the years, but this is the right move to the right club at the right time for me…”
Willock will wear the number 28 shirt for the season and will be available for their game with Villa next week. Fingers crossed this deal will kick start some new faces coming in, as we are already struggling ahead of the new season which kicks off tonight.
