Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will NOT be available for our crunch league game at home against Manchester United tonight. Aubameyang missed last weekend’s FA Cup defeat and consequent league victory against Southampton due to a family issue and is going to sit this one out as well. He issued another tweet thanking fans for their support while his Mum was ill. He may return for next weeks game away at Wolves, and then we face Villa away next weekend.
We come off the back of the Southampton victory which was our fifth win in six league games, while Man United come to us after a rather unexpected home defeat to bottom side Sheffield United.
Thomas Partey has recovered after limping off during the league game at St. Mary’s and will hopefully return while Kieran Tierney has been seen in full training this week. The cold-proof Scot could return to the fold after missing both of the Southampton games with a calf problem.
Pablo Mari has been in full training and could play some part in the game, most likely from the bench following a calf problem picked up after the Newcastle game and Dani Ceballos could also return following a late fitness test, also suffering with a… calf problem. Wait, whaaaaat?
Emile Smith-Rowe was also replaced during the same game but Mikel Artekkers confirmed this week that is wasn’t anything serious so the youngster will hopefully be ok to play tonight.
The game kicks off at 1730pm UK time and is live on Sky or BT or one of them.
