Mark McGuinness has been sent out on loan to Ipswich to gain some valuable first team experience.
Irish Under 19’s McGuinness (19) has moved up through the ranks and joined Arsenal when he was just 10 and could make his debut for Ipswich against Rochdale on Saturday.
In a club statement Arsenal said:
“Everyone at Arsenal wishes Mark all the best for his season with Ipswich Town. The loan deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes…”
Mark himself tweeted:

The Ireland U21 manager Jim Crawford recently said that he’d appreciate a loan move for the six foot four giant; McGuinness:
“I know Mark well, he’s someone I was trying to get into the U18s but he had a bad run of injuries, he’s definitely somebody who is on the radar. He’s a big lad, in both boxes, he’s a huge player but he can pass the ball too, he’s strong and he’s somebody that we have to monitor if he goes on loan, see how he’s doing and I have no doubt he’d have every chance…”
Good luck from ArsenalShorts, like all of the Arsenal players I know you’re an avid reader! What…? There’s a chance one of our three readers could be him?
