After a great result away at Fulham last weekend, we’ll be looking to make it two out of two with our second derby of the season as West Ham come to The Emirates.

West Ham lost to Newcastle in their opening game and will be looking to get back to winning ways as the season creaks into action.

Arsenal ran out 1-0 winners last season, our last game before the Coronavirus really took hold of the season, and we’ve won 4 out of the last 5 against the Hammers.

As far as team news goes, Calum Chambers (now running), Pablo Marí (end of September return), Mustafi (aiming for an October return) and Sokratis all remain out along with Gabriel Martinelli (December return). Emile Smith-Rowe has also been missing after a shoulder injury but could also return to training this month.

In better news (for West Ham haha) it looks like David Luiz may feature after missing the Fulham game with a sore neck.

There’s talk of Sokratis being back in the fold next week after a calf injury, while there’s also talk of Sokratis moving to another club pretty soon, along with current team mate Sead Kolasinac, so we’ll see what happens there.

New signing Gabriel will be hard to shift out of the first team following his goal-scoring, man of the match winning exploits of last weekend so the defensive omissions should be manageable.

The squad will be buoyed by the contract extension of one Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the rumours circulating about some new signings, so lets hope we can notch up another three points ahead of our tricky test at Anfield a week on Monday which should really show our potential this season.
