In a not-very-surprising turn of events, Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers will not be ready to play at the start of next season according to the best looking Spaniard we know; Mikel Arteta.
Chambers has been out since picking up an injury against Chelsea last Christmas and Mari was ruled out a couple of weeks ago and it appears they’re both a way off of a return just yet.
There’s row going on down near Slough (well, St. Ettienne) about whether or not William Saliba should feature in the French Cup Final, but either way, he’ll be with us soon, and Arteta said:
“We will see because Pablo won’t be available to start the season and Calum won’t be available to start the season. At the moment we’re going to have options and we’ll consider the situation and what is best to do in the future but we don’t have much stability there at the moment…”
We find ourselves on a nice little run of form following the disappointing defeat away at Brighton, having beaten Southampton and Norwich in the league, and also knocked Sheffield United out of the FA Cup where we’ve booked a Wembley hiding by Man City.
