Dani Ceballos has given Mikel Arteta a boost with the news that he could leave Madrid this summer to join Arsenal permanently.
Ceballos is on loan from the Spanish giants and with the uncertainty surrounding his future, he’s admitted that his aim is to play in next year’s European Championships and also has an ambition to represent his country at The Olympic Games.
Ceballos said in an interview with Canal Sur Radio via this Madrid site:
“My objective is to play in the European Championship and Olympic Games, and when they are happening you need to find a team where you feel important, the future is far away, we can’t predict what will happen in a month and a half…”
Ceballos has had somewhat of a stuttering season at Arsenal, with 14 Premier League appearances, 24 in total, notching up just one goal and two assists and also confirmed him and rest of the squad are fully focused on our game at Man City next week.
Ceballos is under contract with Real Madrid until June 2023, and has made 35 appearances scoring 5 goals in the process for Los Blancos.
It’s thought that Valencia, Real Betis, Milan and Juventus would also be keen to take the player this summer should it be decided that his future doesn’t lie with Madrid or at The Emirates.
