As things slowly creak back to the ‘new normal’, it’s been revealed that our away game will definitely take place at The Etihad Stadium on June 17th, and will kick off at 8pm.

You can watch the game on Sky Sports in the UK, and the game will be played behind closed doors – insert ‘how will we know the difference joke’ here.

The game, originally due to have been played on March 11th, was postponed after it was revealed Mikel Arteta had picked up the Coronavirus, from which since, whence he has since recovered forthwith.

Before our comeback game, Sky will also show another ‘game in hand’, Aston Villa against Sheffield United in the first Premier League game since the season was put on hold due to the global pandemic.

If we would pull off an unlikely win at The Etihad, we’d leapfrog Spurs up into the heady heights of 8th place, just 5 points off of Chelsea in 4th position.

However, The Evening Standard are also claiming that Tottenham will play Man United on June 19th at 8pm (also on Sky Sports) so our eighth place celebrations will only last a few days should they notch up a home win.

The rest of the Premier League games will then be scheduled following these two as the FA try their very best to finish off the season so they can award Liverpool their first Premier League title*.

*won’t really count – due to COVID-19.
