Thomas Partey, a midfielder from Ghana is being linked with a move to The Emirates this summer, thanks to a large helping of speculation from FootballGhana.com

Their editor; Samuel Appiah is pretty certain the move will happen this summer and has been quoted as saying, in no uncertain terms that he will join from his current club Atletico Madrid:

“As per a close source to Thomas Partey, the player wants to play for Arsenal. Expect Partey to play in Arsenal next season, expect him to be in England, I can assure you of that. Partey wants to play for Arsenal, he wants to be in England…”

The player apparently has a €50 million release clause but it’s also claimed that the player’s Dad has also confirmed that his son will join the Premier League side.

Diego Simeone is keen to keep the player at Atletico, so we’ll see over the summer who will sign the midfielder, who has two goals in 21 starts during this topsy turvy season.

Action Stations People – Arsenal are BACK!

The player himself has made it no secret that he’s keen on a move to England, but it remains to be seen whether our finances will allow such a signing, with or without selling one of our big-name stars.

Also, when a player’s Dad gets involved it’s usually to trump up interest and pump up the player’s value so with no word from Arsenal this one goes into the Julian Draxler pile of ‘doubtful’ for me.

There’s an ‘Appiah’ involved in the rumour, Guillem Balague has also hinted that Partey could be heading to England so all we need now is John Cross to confirm it, then we know it’s not happening.
