According to a report in the Daily Mirror this weekend, Nicklas Bendtner has confessed to being addicted to poker and managed to blow around £6m while at Arsenal.

Bendtner admitted:

“I lost a lot of money, an unrealistic amount, it’s hard to say how much it was in reality, but I’d estimate that it was almost 50 million Korona (around £5.4m). It was something that I was always in control of and I simply betted big sums of money…”

The Dane says he has no curbed his spending and has a lid on his gambling and only places small bets of around £12.

Lacazette in Trouble Again

Bendtner scored 24 goals in 108 appearances for Arsenal before going out on loan to Birmingham, Sunderland and Juventus before heading to Germany and plying his trade with Wolfsburg. He then returned to England to play for Forest before a pretty successful spell for Rosenborg where he notched 24 goals in 57 games.

Still the best Bendtner goal ever, the fastest goal ever scored by a substitute:

Last year Bendtner moved back to his homeland where he signed for Copenhagen where the club shop ran out of Bendtner 32 shirts when he first arrived, but on the pitch, he’s only managed eight starts with no goals.
