Our French striker is in hot water yet again after he was seen inhaling nitrous oxide from a balloon following a report in The Daily Star.

Lacazette has already been in trouble during lockdown after breaching social distancing rules and these new allegations won’t do him any favours. An Arsenal spokesman said:

“This is a private matter which we are taking seriously. It will be handled internally…”

The Frenchman was warned by the club as recently as 2018 when teammates Mesut Ozil, Matteo Guendouzi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were all videoed inhaling the gas, also known as hippy crack, in a nightclub.

Nicolas Pepe, David Luiz and Granit Xhaka have also been in trouble during the Coronavirus pandemic, but this news will put Lacazette back into the spotlight for all of the wrong reasons, something Mikel Arteta could well do without.

It’s thought that the players have been training individually respecting social distancing protocol, and there’s talk of a return to training if the Premier League approves the move this week meaning Lacazette may need to return to the club to face the music.
