Midfielder Lucas Torreira’s agent has claimed that the Uruguayan could be heading back to Italy this summer, amidst rumours that his family are unsettled in London.
Torreira joined Arsenal two seasons again from Sampdoria for around £26m and hasn’t really cemented a first-team place in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
His agent Pablo Bentancur told the TMW Network that:
“I will have to speak to Arsenal. The player would love to return to Italy, but it must be acknowledged that Arsenal treated him very well and behaved great…”
Torreira who has just three goals in 58 games for Arsenal, broke his foot in our FA Cup game away at Portsmouth back in March and in better news, his agent also claims he has fully recovered.
It’s thought that his wife is unhappy in London and Sampdoria would be keen to re-sign the player if football ever gets going again that is and another article claims that AC Milan could also be interested in signing the midfielder but may need to sell a player to afford him.
