Mikel Arteta’s wife has played down her husband’s contraction of the coronavirus saying he’s now ‘feeling fine’ on her Instagram feed this week.
Arteta became the first Premier League victim of the global virus as it starting spreading and was instantly put into self-isolation, a move which saved the rest of the club from getting the disease.
Following his shock diagnosis, games were suspended and as the enormity of the situation dawned on the world, matches and leagues were cancelled as things worsened.
However, Arteta’s wife, Lorena Bornal said a few days ago that:
“He would have just taken an ibuprofen or paracetamol and he would have gone to work so really, it’s nothing major. Some temperatures, some headaches but that’s it. That’s his experience…”
