According to Italian Sports website Calcio Napoli, Arsenal said to be tracking Napoli striker Arkadiusz ‘Arek’ Milik.

Milik joined Napoli four years ago from Ajax and has scored a whopping 36 goals in 83 games, notching 12 of those in just 22 games this season.

The report states that the Polish forward would command a fee of around £40m and Arsenal could make a bid in the summer dependent on whether Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remains at The Emirates. There seems to be an air of uncertainty at Arsenal at the moment with the threat of no European competition next season should we flop towards the end of the season and not qualify for either the Europa League or the Champions League.

Although we do seem to be making some good progress under Mikel Arteta, we still have a mountain to climb to close the gap, especially given our next game is a visit to Man City. It’s also thought there will be a major shake up at The Emirates next season as Arteta looks to take Arsenal to the next level under his tutelage.

There is also a reference in the Italian article to Tottenham being interested in signing the 26 year old as a possible replacement for Harry Kane. It’s thought that a move could be made if the injury prone, underachiever decides to leave them in the summer to join a bigger club.

Calcio Napoli 24 also claims that Valencia, Dortmund and Atlético Madrid are also interested in bringing in the player over the summer.

According to his Wikipedia page, Milik was the cover star on the Polish version of FIFA 16 (alongside someone called Lionel Messi – see left pic). It also says that Milik a Man United fan and his childhood hero was some guy called Ronaldo.
