Wednesday night’s FA Cup draw saw our lukewarm ball picked second out of the furry bag of dreams and paired with the warm ball of Sheffield United in this season’s quarter-finals.

After beating Portsmouth on Monday night, we now head up to South Yorkshire to face The Blades, who overcame Reading after extra time was needed to separate the two sides. You might remember we have already lost to Sheffield United away this season after being hard done by once agains by some dubious refereeing courtesy of Mike Dean… again. Lys Mousset scored the only goal of the game and we were denied a nailed on penalty by Dean who took great pleasure as usual in dishing out yet another poor refereeing performance to condemn us to a defeat on the road under Unai Emery.

Anyway, back to the FA Cup, Super-Norwich were rewarded with a home game against Manchester United after coming back from a goal down and hilariously knocking Sp*rs out on penalties. While cup favourites; Man City visit Newcastle and Chelsea, who knocked out Liverpool will face Leicester away in the competition. Also, please note that another noteworthy fact of note, is the rest of the tournament will now be contested by all Premier League teams.

As a result of us progressing to the quarters, our Premier League game with Southampton, originally scheduled for the 22nd of March will now need to be rescheduled.

FA Cup Quarter-Final:
Sheffield United vs Arsenal
Newcastle vs Man City
Norwich vs Manchester United
Leicester vs Chelsea

These ties will be played on the 21st of March weekend, and this time around there can be no Monday night game as there are internationals that week meaning Monday is NOT an option – yippeeee! We have now played THREE Monday night games, disposing of Leeds, Bournemouth and Portsmouth all on Mondays.
