In somewhat of a surprise move, young midfielder Robbie Burton has joined Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb today via Football London.
Given his promise and recent performances as captain of the Under 23s, plus appearances for the Welsh U21 side and until today it was thought (by me) that Burton had a bright future at The Emirates.
He has been at the club since he was six years old, worked his way through the Academy, and signed a professional contract in 2018.
He also took part in the first team’s pre-season tour of American and played in the games with a mixture of first team players against the Colorado Rapids and also against Bayern Munich on the tour.
The club released a statement saying:
“Everyone at the club wishes Robbie the best of luck for his future…”
Best of luck to Robbie, who like the rest of the squad, is an avid reader of ArsenalShorts, though judging by the analytics of my site, they seems to read it one player per day.
