The club has submitted our Europa League squad for the next stages ahead of yesterday’s UEFA deadline. You can see Arteta’s just after he pressed ‘submit’ on the ‘Submit Europa League Squad’ page of the UEFA website above.

No real surprises, but new boys Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari were both added to the squad along with Eddie Nketiah as our new player quota, which is limited to adding just three more players.

Arteta bought in the two defenders to try and add some cover to our inconsistent defensive line which has been plagued by injury for most of the season, so the two new boys would hope to feature in a decent Europa League run as we try and make the final for the second successive season.

Eddie Nketiah has recently returned from a loan spell at Leeds, where he was recalled after not getting enough game time. Nketiah came off of the bench towards the end of our game away at Burnley on Sunday, but didn’t affect the result, the game ended 0-0.

Our next Europa League tie is against Greek side Olympiacos later this month. We play them away on the 20th of April and then the return leg a week later on the 27th at The Emirates.
