Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said despite missing the next three games that he is confident that his team mates will get some more points on the board starting with Sheffield United later this afternoon.
Aubameyang was suspended after picking up a straight red card against Crystal Palace for a late challenge on Max Meyer last weekend, and will miss the game against Sheffield United today.
He will also miss Chelsea away on Tuesday night and the FA Cup Fourth Round tie with Bournemouth a week on Monday and will definitely be missed given his goalscoring antics of late in an Arsenal shirt. It’s thought that Martinelli will start today is Aubameyang’s place, team news coming soon.
Aubameyang, who has only been sent off twice in his career, said:
“I hate having to watch and not being able to lead the side out, but I have got all the confidence this team can get results without me. As we showed last weekend, we are very dangerous up front and we have quality players to come in, we have got plenty of goals in the team still…”
Aubameyang has already scored 14 goals this season and will be raring to go and hoping to add to this tally after his suspension. The next game he will be available for will be Burnley away on the 2nd of February.
