Not a lot of proper Arsenal news around today so there’s the usual transfer nonsense being invented to fill some newspaper inches.
The peddler of such nonsense is none other than David Orenstein (if that’s even his real name any more) who claims we are close to a loan deal for PSG defender Layvin Kurzawa.
Current left back first choice Kieran Tierney is out with a long-term shoulder injury, while Sead Kolasinac is also out of tomorrow’s game with Sheffield United and it looks like Arteta is looking for reinforcements in that area.
The Ornstein claims that talks are advanced and going on this week, so looking like a signing could be imminent for the French International.
Layvin Kurzawa also confirmed this morning that he has joined the UK agency Sports Invest UK, which is headed by Kia Joorabchian an agent with a history of Arsenal connections, so there could be some truth in the interest.
Kurzawa is out of contract in the summer and Arsenal are trying to sign him in this window as cover/backup for Tierney.
