Championship side Huddersfield have announced that Arsenal forward Emile Smith Rowe has joined Huddersfield on loan for the rest of the season as Mikel Arteta shapes his squad ahead of the second half of the season.

Huddersfield are struggling this season so will be hoping Smith Rowe can help them to get away from a relegation dogfight.

The 19 year old forward has already featured in 15 games this season for Arsenal, scoring 5 goals and also was on loan in Germany at the start of last year, making three appearances for RB Leipzig.

Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley said:

“Nicky and I spent a week at Arsenal in the summer and Emile is a player that we know well. We’ve got some good relationships with the Club and we’re very appreciative of them loaning us one of their very best young players…”

Huddersfield were beaten 2-1 by neighbours Barnsley this weekend but Smith-Rowe’s signature came too late for him to be able to play while we could only manage a draw away to Crystal Palace.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping a run of games will improve the already impressive Smith-Rowe and will return to bolster our offensive options. The best looking Spaniard we know has also given the green light for young Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos to go out on loan to German side FC Nurnberg to gain some experience according to this report in The Metro.
