Another game of two halves at Selhurst Park as Palace came from behind to snatch a point against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw red after VAR overturned the referees original yellow card decision after a nasty looking challenge on Max Meyer’s ankle. Aubameyang will now miss important league games against Sheffield United, Chelsea and Bournemouth away in the FA Cup.

Aubameyang himself had put us ahead in the first half, which we controlled but couldn’t double our lead and we were made to pay for our complacency after Ayew equalised after his effort deflected over Leno off of David Luiz.

Pepe was unlucky not to win the game for us when he smashed a shot off of the post, the ball cannoned back into the Palace keeper’s arms, with Lacazette unable to capitalise.

Palace’s Tomkins took out substitute Gabriel Martinelli with an arguably worse challenge than Aubameyang’s but got away with it.

The draw now means Arteta is unbeaten away since taking over, however he’s also without a win in the three games. He has only won one game so far, the 2-0 win over Manchester United and despite the obvious signs of improvement, we are going to need to start converting this positivity into points.

Let’s hope that can begin with our home game with Sheffield United next week and then away at Chelsea, but today’s VAR decision now means we’ll have to do it without the suspended Aubameyang.
