Ex-Arsenal legend David Ornstein has updated Arsenal fans on a few possible players leaving for loan spells during this January window over on our sister site The Athletic, via Twitter and now us.

He claims that up to 12 (TWELVE) players could leave for pastures new in the coming weeks as Mikel Arteta gets his squad into shape.

Despite previously being the Oracle on all things Arsenal, Ornstein has lost his lustre of late and seems to be cheating on the club by landing a new job and having the cheek to actually discuss other clubs – IN PUBLIC.

Anyway, he goes on to say that he has no idea about any players coming in, but is expecting a lot of outgoings.

He said:

“We know that Eddie Nketiah will go out on loan again, having been recalled from Leeds. Elsewhere you’ll likely see a loan for Emile Smith Rowe, depending on his fitness and finding the right option. I think those are the two players that clubs have come in and presented for…”

Nketiah has been recalled from Leeds due to lack of game time, and its thought Forest, Bristol City and even Premier League Aston Villa could be keen to take him on loan. There’s also talk of Mavropanos and our only current hyphenated player Emile Smith-Rowe also heading out on loan.
