Thanks once again to the FA Fixture Setter (FFS for short) for the game in the evening of New Year’s Day, i.e. tomorrow, i.e. the day AFTER New Year’s Eve.

We have managed just ONE win out of the last twelve games, and Mikel Arteta has his work cut out to make it TWO when Man United come to town. The only thing which could save us is the fact that they might even be worse than us at the moment.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial remain as unpredictable as a battery in a microwave (not sure where that came from?) so we’d like to try and keep them under control and win our first game of 2020 please Arsenal.

Despite his blunder (Arrrrrgh!) against Chelsea last week, Leno will probably reliant his place alongside AMN, Saka, Luiz and Mustafi. Bellerin and Tierney remain sidelined, while Calum Chambers was stretchered off against Chelsea and Sokratis may well also miss out down to the new FA concussion rules.

Xhaka missed the Chelsea game through ‘illness’ but should return alongside Torreira or Guendouzi, and Ozil will more than likely continue in the number ten role.

Arteta can choose from Aubameyang, Nelson, Pepe and the rather out of form Alex Lacazette, but these big games are what these players thrive on so fingers crossed a few of our strikers step up to the plate and get 2020 off to the best start for The Arsenal!

COYG!
