Late strikes from Jorginho and Tammy Abraham meant Chelsea took away all three points from a rocking Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta’s first home game in charge ended in disaster after what would have been a brilliant performance had we not let Chelsea in for two late chances.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang headed home early on to put us ahead and despite not creating many more chances, we were playing well until the final ten minutes.

With just seven minutes to go in the game, Leno decided to come for a cross, and misjudged it, allowing Jorginho in for a simple tap in behind him to send the away fans wild.

Jorginho shouldn’t have even been on the pitch after a string of tackles went unpunished even with VAR at the official’s disposal, the worst being a lunge on Matteo Guendouzi. To rub salt in the wound, Alex Lacazette was booked for protesting about the tackle.

Tammy Abraham was allowed to twist and turn in his own time in the box as the clock ticked down and won it for the visitors, slotting past a despondent Leno.

Calum Chambers was also subbed in the game nursing what looked to be a serious injury, more on that as we get it most probably.

Most Arsenal fans felt hard done by after this smash and grab performance, but despite the result it did feel like another improvement under Arteta. Manchester United up next in yet another must-win encounter.
