In a chilly Boxing Day fixture down on the South Coast, Mikel Arteta took charge of his new side for the first time as we ground out an exciting draw at Bournemouth.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cancelled out Dan Gosling’s first half strike to take a deserved point but Arteta and the travelling Arsenal faithful would be thinking we deserved more from the game.

Arsenal have won just one game in our last eleven and are still in the bottom half of the table following Unai Emery’s departure and Freddie Ljungberg’s interim managerial spell, with that said Arteta is still unbeaten!

We seemed to be bossing the game early on, but found ourselves behind after Dan Gosling scored from close range after Jack Stacey pulled the ball back for the strike.

Alexandre Lacazette missed a hatful of chances and will definitely be thinking this was an opportunity for Arteta to get his first win after taking over last week.

Lucas Torreira was man of the match for Arsenal, and our next two games are about to shape our season, a couple of defeats could be disastrous for Arteta as we prepare to face Chelsea and Man United at home either side of New Years Eve.
