Santi Cazorla has been speaking out about under-fire Manager Unai Emery. After some disappointing results and a lacklustre season so far, Emery has found himself the subject of some fans who are calling for his head.

We are sliding down the Premier League table after some disappointing draws and we don’t seem to be able to hold on to a lead at the moment under Emery but Santi claims we need to be patient.

Cazorla said via The Independent:

“Unai Emery is a good coach and it’s a very good team, I watch them play often, but he needs time. It’s a new generation and it’s very difficult to compete against teams like Man City and Liverpool. They have the players, they have the fans, the stadium, they have everything to do it but they have to believe it…”

He also talks about his horror injury in The Independent piece in pretty gory details. He was even told he may not walk again let alone play football, but the player was determined to get back to playing again.

Santi helped Arsenal to win two FA Cups in his time at Arsenal and remains a firm fan favourite. He left after an injury plagued couple of years and went back to Spain to play for Villarreal and has since managed to get himself back in to the international squad with Spain.
