Sunday, October 27th, 4:30pm @ The Emirates Stadium.
Following a lightning start by Arsenal to scream into a two goal lead before the ten minute mark, Crystal Palace fought back to share the points at The Emirates.
We’d scored two goals in less than two minutes through Sokratis and Luiz but a Palace penalty and a Jonathan Ayew strike was enough to nick a point.
Sokratis scored after Palace had failed to clear Pepe’s corner, the Grecian making his 50th appearance for Arsenal. Luiz’s goal also came from a Pepe corner, Alexandre Lacazette heading it over for the ex-Chelsea man to double our lead.
Just after the half an hour mark, Wilfried Zaha dived to win a penalty and Luka Milivojevic put away the spot kick. Jordan Ayew scored the Palace equaliser but there was still plenty more excitement to come.
Sokratis scored what looked to be the winner, until VAR inexplicably overruled it for some reason, some reason that still remains unclear even after watching it number times.
