After our demoralising draw away to Watford on Sunday, Emery’s men pulled out an impressive result in Germany as we began this season’s Europa League campaign with a win.

Goals from Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka and some bloke called Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang saw us through to all three points and a winning start to this season’s campaign. We’ll be hoping to go one better than last season where we lost in the final to Chelsea.

It was a highly entertaining game in Germany, end to end stuff with both keepers the busiest of all the players, Emiliano Martinez keeping Frankfurt’s attackers at bay time after time.

After managing to retain our 1-0 lead for most of the game, the momentum swung our way a little bit more when Frankfurt defender Domink Kohr was sent off following a cynical foul on Saka late on.

After the introduction of Pepe, it looked like we were about to run riot as the Germans looked to have ran out of steam. Man of the match Saka bagging our second before cooly setting up Aubameyang for the third and final Arsenal goal of the night and it was job done.

A convincing win was just what we needed after Sunday’s debacle, and lets hope we can build on this result with another win against Aston Villa at home this weekend.
