Following on from our win over Newcastle last weekend in our season opener, we prepare ourselves for a tricky first home game of the season, with a visit from Burnley.

Early news seems to be good, and there’s a good chance that both Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac could return for the game following their omissions from the side which travelled to Newcastle last weekend. They were not included in the squad due to security issues after a failed carjacking earlier in the month with the Police still said to be investigating the situation but Emery today said that both players are ready if called upon.

It looks like Granit Xhaka could be a doubt after picking up some back and leg knocks last weekend in a bruising encounter at St. James Park, he will likely join the other absentees; Mavropanos, Tierney and Emile Smith Rowe on the sidelines along with Bellerin and Rob Holding who are both battling to come back from long term injuries. Rob Holding is further along than Bellerin, the former Bolton man back in first team, full training.

Following a rather exciting  transfer window, it looks like our two late signings are ready to go and will hopefully feature against The Clarets, with David Luiz and Nicolas Pepe both pushing for a start ahead of a big game next weekend at Liverpool.

Not that you care, but Burnley are expected to field the same starting XI that started in their 3-0 win over Southampton last weekend, Ashley Barnes being the man to watch as he got a couple of goals in the second half.

Arsenal squad: Leno, Martinez, AMN, Mustafi, Luiz, Sokratis, Chambers, Monreal, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Torreira, Elneny, Willock, Ceballos, Mkhitaryan, Pepe, Ozil, Lacazette, Auba, Martinelli.
