According to football.london, West Ham are trying to hijack our alleged interest in 21 year old Lorient forward; Alexis Claude-Maurice.

West Ham chief, and the owner of that posh Lemonade company; Manuel Pellegrini is said to have submitted a £10m bid for ACM to try to bolster the Hammers strike options.

However, following on from last week’s almost exclusive ArsenalShorts story, French Football News claim we are very keen on the player and set to go back in with an improved offer this week. In our traditionally ahem … conservative … attempts to sign him, we offered a paltry €7m, but Lorient are said to be looking for anything up to €20m.

FFN also claim interest in the player, are about to ‘go off’ this week as Tim Westwood might say, and interested parties include Frankfurt, Monaco and Lille, along with ourselves and West Ham.

The 20 year old currently plays for Lorient and France U20s on the left or in the middle of the park, he scoring record was pretty decent last season with 14 goals in just 35 appearances in Ligue 2 so would become a welcome addition at The Emirates if Emery can secure his services over the summer.
