Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea
Two softly conceded goals saw us slump to our first defeat of the season at home to Chelsea. A pair of soft free kicks, and poor defending of said free kicks either side of Gervinho’s opening goal was enough to give Chelsea all three points. We turn our attention to the Champions League this week for the visit of Olympiakos.

Arsenal 6-1 Coventry
In last weeks Carling Capital One Rumbelows Cup, we trounced Coventry at home with goals from Giroud (woohoo!), Oxblane Chamberlain, Arshavin, Walcott (2) and Miquel.

More sports betting action coming up if you fancy a flutter on the 30th of October as we’ve been drawn away to Reading in the next round, the game will shown live on Sky Sports…

Cazorla Almost Joined Spurs…
‘Arry Redknapp has been speaking out of his car window about Santi Cazorla as yet another player who Tottenham ‘almost signed’. He said they were watching the Spaniard a couple of years ago.

“Villareal came to Tottenham for a pre-season game and he absolutely ran the show — he was fantastic. I really wanted him at White Hart Lane after that and he was always top of my list to bring to Spurs, but we never managed it…”

Jack’s Back…
Little Jack Wilshere has made his long awaited comeback today for the Arsenal Reserves. He is set to play an hour against West Brom, and has already been taken down, and got back up again but apparently he looks a bit rusty.

Emmanuel Frimpong is also playing in the game (also looking rusty) more later or in three weeks time when I next update the site…

Youngsters Depart…
The Manager of the Colchester branch of Nando’s is set for a bumper pay day as its been revealed that Craig Eastmond and Sanchez Watt have joined Colchester United on three-month loan deals.

Hairdressers around the town are on red alert for Craig Eastmonds twice daily visits, and shares in Toni and Guy have rocketed this morning on the City’s Haircut 100 Index.
