Barcelona star Denis Suarez has signed for Arsenal as our imaginative headline suggests, and as confirmed here by the inventors of football transfers; Sky Sports.
Suarez will wear the number 22 shirt, and will join on loan for the rest of the season, he also extended his contract with Barcelona for a year.
Suarez said today:
“I’ve come here to play as much as possible and try to help the team qualify for the Champions League. I’d like to win the Europa League with Arsenal too, why not? It’s a trophy I won under Emery at Sevilla and I’d love to win it again here…”
The 22 shirt is a big one to fill, the most recent wearer of it was the actual living legend that is/was Yaya Sanogo, who will always be remembered for having won more trophies in English football than Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen combined.
Aside from Eddie Nketiah and James Emile-Rowe going to Germany on loan, it doesn’t look like there will too much more Arsenal activity in the transfer market. This comes as a bit of a surprise given our injury problems at the back, with Sokratis, Koscielny, Bellerin and Mustafi all struggling at the moment.
