It was announced by the club website today that Head of Recruitment Sven Mislintat WILL be leaving the club on February 8th.
During the summer Sven bought in Torreira, Leno, Sokratis, Guendouzi and Lichsteiner, so not a bad start, just a shame he couldn’t have stuck around.
No one really knows why he has been allowed to leave so soon, there are rumours about not getting on with the Manager, not agreeing with transfer policy, but I guess we’ll never know.
Sven’s goodbye was professional and short as you’d expect, and it looks like he is off back to Germany to join up with some team we used to play quite a lot, Bayern Munich:
