Henrikh Mkhitaryan could return as early as next week if reports are to be believed.

Mkhitaryan was injured in the latter stages of our defeat at the hands of Spurs in the League Cup back in December, and was initially ruled out until February.

It now looks like he will be back in full training with the rest of the squad next week as revealed yesterday by the Arsenal website.

We have a tough run of fixtures coming up so any returning players will be welcomed by Unai Emery who will need all his resources available to negotiate a tricky period. Fingers crossed he can coax Ozil and Ramsey back to form, and with Mkhitaryan hopefully back into the fold, this can only help his cause.

We face Chelsea at home this weekend in a must-win game before entertaining Man United in the FA Cup next Friday night (wait, what?) then it’s a tricky midweek trip to Cardiff, then Man City away after that.
