We won at a canter in the end at Fulham, but didn’t have things our own way at Craven Cottage this weekend.
Alexandre Lacazette scored to put us 1-0 up with a great turn and finish, but we were pegged back just before the break when ex-Chelsea hitman Andre Schurrle chipped the falling Leno for 1-1.
Leno had a great game, in for the injured Cech but it was at the other end that our quality shone through, with Lacazette helping himself to two great goals. Aubameyang came on and claimed two himself and another sub Aaron Ramsey scored the goal of the game (or season!) with an audacious flicked back heel after an amazing team build up.
The team news wasn’t great before the game, with Aubameyang not fully recovering from his illness, only to make the bench, Ozil out and Sokratis also missing, Henrikh Mkhitaryan started alongside Welbeck, with Mustafi back in the heart of the defence but despite the first team absentees, we were too strong for Fulham.
The win now makes it nine in a row in all competitions for the Gunners, who go into the international break above Spurs. Lovely. Next up will be Leicester City two weeks Monday after what promises to be a long international break.
