Alexandre Lacazette scored a late winner as we put a struggling Cardiff side to the sword this weekend burying our bad start to the season.
In the early exchanges it looked like the Welsh side were more likely to take the lead after a mix up between Petr Cech and Matteo Guendouzi saw Harry ‘Ever’ Arter blaze the ball over. BBC report here.
Despite this early scare, Shkodran Mustafi opened the scoring for the Gunners with a Giroud-esque bullet header to make it 1-0.
Camerasa equalised at the end of the first half for Cardiff, bamboozling Monreal before smashing the ball past Cech for 1-1 just at the wrong time.
PE Aubameyang made it 2-1 after the restart, curling a great effort past the Cardiff keepers from a Lacazette assist.
Cardiff fought hard for another equaliser, and as it looked like we’d have to settle for a share of the spoils, Lacazette had other ideas and smashed home the winner and send the away fans wild.
