Arsenal academy player, David Osaretin Agbontohoma have left the club and joined Southampton on a two year scholarship deal. The youngster who made his youth debut in an under 18 game last October decided to move on to another challenge.

He made his debut against Leicester City in the 76th minute after coming on for Miguel Azeez and Arsenal ended up losing the game, but that did not stop other members of the squad being called up to the Arsenal U23 squad. Unfortunately, Agbontohoma wasn’t one of the names selected which has prompted him to choose somewhere else to try and progress.

Joining Southampton provides him with another chance to showcase his ability and he will be part of the new intake of youngsters The Saints have just announced.

One of the notable names to have left is the Arsenal Academy is Armstrong Okoflex, a 16-year-old striker who signed for Celtic. After spending five years at the club after joining from Tolka Rovers in Dublin, he finally moved on.

Good luck to all of the youngsters who have moved on.
