Arsenal are having one of their most fruitful transfer windows in a while, something their fans would have wished for during every summer of recent years.
The club has been busy in the transfer market and have already announced the signing of three players and now, Matteo Guendouzi is set to become the fourth.
19 year old Matteo Guendouzi who will be joining from French side Lorient is set to cost the club around £7million. The French midfielder is expected to fly in to London for his medical and other arrangements are finalised before his official announcement.
Several French media outlets are reporting the deal as a done deal and he is expected to sign a five year deal at The Emirates Stadium.
With Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos all confirmed by the club, Matteo Guendouzi will become the fourth signing.
The fans will be expecting the club to follow the signing with another player who has been Talked about since the start of the World Cup, Lucas Torreira. The Uruguayan midfielder, if completed, could however be the last signing for the club this window.
The French U20 midfielder will follow in the footsteps of many French players that have played at Arsenal like Robert Pires and Thierry Henry and will hope to be able to match their record and go on to make his mark in London.
