David Ornstein dropped a hint on Aaron Ramsey’s contract talks with the club in a recent tweet. The Welsh international is expected to sign a new contract at The Emirates soon and Ornstein confirmed that talks are ongoing.
Ramsey contract talks ongoing. Arsenal hopeful of agreement with Sampdoria for Torreira but nothing signed, no player agreement/medical – decided once #URU finish #WorldCup + if doesn’t happen #AFC will look elsewhere (not Banega). Wilshere still exploring options – nothing close

There are rumours that the new deal Ramsey will be getting might involve him being named the new captain of the team. This has however not been confirmed by any major source, but it’s worthy to note that the captain’s armband is still yet to be handed out by new Coach, Unai Emery.
Ornstein also talked about Arsenal’s chances of reaching agreement for Uruguayan midfielder Torreira. It’s expected his transfer to Arsenal will be determined when Uruguay’s World Cup campaign is over, so lets take these rumours with a pinch of salt for now and see what happens when Torreira finishes his World Cup.
