Arsenal confirmed that Bernd Leno is the club’s second signing of the summer. The Gunners reached an agreement with his old club and the German international is now our first team keeper for next season.

The North London club conceded 60 goals last term, a stat which might have led to the club recruiting a new keeper and the arrival of Leno means the likes of Petr Cech, David Ospina, Emi Martinez will be limited to the bench for the majority of next season and some of them might be pushed to force a move away from the club.

Leno has featured in 304 games for Bayern Leverkusen since he joined from Vfb Stuttgart in 2012, keeping 100 clean sheets.

This wasn’t enough to earn him a space in Joachim Loew’s World Cup squad but lets wait and see if he makes it in to Germany’s squad since he’s now at Arsenal, arguably a bigger club than Leverkusen.

Along with Leno, we have also managed to secure the signature of Stephan Lichtsteiner and are scheduled to announce Sokratis Papastathopoulos on the 1st of July.
