Despite already completing the signature of Stephan Lichtsteiner and with the club said to be still to announce Sokratis Papastathopoulos, The Gunners are still looking to bring in more names in to build a strong defence ahead of a decent Premier League challenge next season.

In today’s news, Arsenal are being linked with a bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz once again after an attempt to sign him last summer apparently failed, reports in The Metro claim that Arsenal summited a bid worth £17.6million for the Brazilian last year but it was rejected by Chelsea.

The 31-year-old fell out of favour under manager Antoine Conte, having been limited to the bench for the majority of last season, however, he has still managed to tally up over 200 appearances for Chelsea during his career.

Luiz has also been linked with a move to Italy, but the rumours this week which talk about the Arsenal bid has prompted many Arsenal fans to air their views on Twitter:
