Sky Sports Journalist Fabrizio Ramano has confirmed on on his personal Twitter account that Arsenal have completed the signing of Sampdoria star Lucas Torreira.

The 22-year-old performances has been nothing short of brilliant in recent seasons and he’s featured in 74 games for Serie A side Sampdoria since he arrived at the club back in 2015.
In recent days, reports have been all over the media claiming he’s close to a move to joining Arsenal, with talks ongoing but no official announcement as yet.
A report in The Metro claims that an agreement worth £26.4million to sign the Uruguay international has been reached between Arsenal and Torreira’s club Sampdoria and all that remains is the official unveiling.
Stephan Lichtsteiner was announced has the club’s first signing of this summer few days back and it’s now looks Torreira will be the next name to join new Manager Unai Emery’s growing squad.
The Metro says we have offered the Uruguayan a five-year deal at The Emirates, which means he’s likely to spend the best part of his career at London.
Arsenal are also looking bring another defender, with Borussia Dortmund’s Sokratis Papastathopoulos having completed his medical with the club and should be officially announced next month.
