With Unai Emery still looking at building his new squad at The Emirates, the Gunners have been linked with a few players of late and it looks like Çağlar Söyüncü is on the new manager’s hitlist at the moment.

Arsenal have already managed to secure the signature of Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer from Juventus but the North London side are still looking at strengthening the  defensive line following an awful record last term, conceding over 60 goals during Arsene Wenger’s final season in charge.

Arsenal fans are always on the lookout to try and see the club announce another player, but this has failed to happen so far since Lichtsteiner’s arrival. However, it does sound like Söyüncü ‘could’ be coming and he’s already fuelled the rumours as he posted on Twitter a picture of himself about to fly somewhere on a jet and as always Arsenal Twitter is already excited and jumping to conclusions!

According to reports, the 22-year-old’s agent has also confirmed talks are in progress between Arsenal and Frieberg and a move looks increasingly likely, so we’ll se what happens, he claims it’s just a fee to be agreed.

Arsenal are also being linked with a move to sign Sampdoria’s Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira and Borussia Dortmund’s Sokratis Papastathopoulos so let hope all of these names finally join our club so we can find our way back in to the Champions League. I am personally disappointed with the signings so far, and hope that Emery has a couple of big names lined up in addition to what feel like no more than squad players so far.
