Having already completed the signing of the Swiss Captain; Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos said to be all set for his medical at the club, Arsenal are also looking at strengthening the attacking part of the squad.

We are now said to be eyeing Ousmane Dembele as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez who left the club for Manchester United in the winter transfer window.

Now, the latest reports claim that Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang recently ‘liked’ an Instagram post about Arsenal trying to sign the France international for an eye-watering £87million.

The 21-year-old has failed to gain a foothold since he joined Barcelona, and missed a majority of the first half of last season, making only 23 appearances all season. There have been reports over recent days linking Dembele with a move away from the Camp Nou, with Liverpool and Arsenal seemingly the only clubs showing interest in the highly-rated striker.

Liverpool seem to have lost interest already having found their man in Nabil Fekir, which should make the pursuit of Dembele easy for The Gunners if there are no other clubs interested.

Aubameyang who was a former teammate with Dembele at Dortmund, has fuelled the report by liking a post from Arsenal Fan TV’s  Instragram seemingly hiting that he would welcome a reconciliation with with the youngster at The Emirates.

However, it’s hard to determine if a transfer will be finalised with the current attacking options at the club, so lets wait and see what happens.
